Mozambique: Peace Parks to invest 4.6 million dollars in Banhine

One child died and ten houses were demolished during torrential rain in the village headquarters of the administrative post of Mucumbura, located in Mágoè district, Tete province.
The downpour occurred last weekend, the child dying when he and two companions were hit by lightning. The head of the administrative post told Radio Moçambique that the other two children were injured but are out of danger.
According to Sankulane Ntembo, the houses that were destroyed were of precarious construction, and the families had been taken in by relatives while they rebuilt their homes.
Ntembo said that support would be provided to those affected until life got back to normal.
