Mozambique wants intellectual, industrial property at the heart of economic growth
O País / CCM teams up with Research, Innovation and Business group to put entrepreneurial ideas into practice
Entrepreneurs now have a new way of financing their projects in Mozambique. An initiative launched yesterday by the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce and the international Research, Innovation and Business organization will help them put their ideas into practice.
It is a proposed solution to one of the biggest problems faced by people with business ideas: lack of money. The Mozambique Chamber of Commerce, with more than 600 members nationwide, has teamed up with the Pesquisa, Inovação e Negócios group to help those with a business project find innovative technological solutions to obtain financing.
After identifying innovative ideas, the organizations will invite national and international partners interested in the respective technological area to invest. The Research, Innovation and Business group says it has partners in Mozambique, South Africa, Kenya and the United States of America looking for innovative ideas to fund.
The group’s Executive Coordinator explains, for example, that there is a consortium interested in financing solid waste recycling projects in the country. In turn, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique reveals that the partnership with the international organization, which began last month, lasts for a renewable year.
The Mozambican Chamber of Commerce is currently headquartered in Maputo, with regional offices in Beira and Nampula.
