A group of unknown individuals still at large attacked Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama’s wood-cutting and processing company CENO in the Caia district of Sofala province on Thursday.
According to Renamo representative Fernando Mazanga, on November 10, as the city of Maputo was celebrating the anniversary of its elevation to city status, the district of Caia witnessed the anger and hatred that certain people in power feel against Afonso Dhlakama, reads a Folha de Maputo report.
“Unable of finding him personally they unleash their rage on his property and the people connected to him. In our capacity as representatives of Afonso Dhlakama’s companies, we report the recent attacks on SOCADIV’s worksite in Barué, Manica, and on Thursday it was the turn of the CENO wood processing company,” Mazanga wrote on his Facebook wall.
Most of Afonso Dhlakama’s companies involve the exploitation of natural resources.
