Cahora Bassa Bydroelectric supports Tete provincial hospital with an investment of more than two million meticals
The Hydroelectric Plant of Cahora Bassa carried out on 21 December the delivery of material to the Provincial Hospital of Tete in the scope of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
This is a support that arises from a request in medical and surgical material formulated by the Provincial Hospital of Tete, with a view to strengthening patient safety and minimizing the risk of disease transmission, with a view to strengthening the response capacity in patient care during the present festive season.
The material was delivered to the Provincial Hospital by the Administrator Itaí Meque, on behalf of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant. On the act, 33,000 surgical gloves were delivered, 30,000 gloves of procedures and 6,500 harpsichords, budgeted in more than two million meticais.
During the delivery, the Administrator informed the Director of that hospital, Dr. Lídia Cunha, which was a support throughout the Company, including its employees, and called for the hospital to have responsibility for the use of the material now offered. “Take care of the material, just as they want to take good care of the patients who depend on you, “said Administrator Itaí Meque.
In turn, Hospital Director Dr. Lídia Cunha thanked, on behalf of her establishment and its users, for the constant support provided by the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant and said that this support will strengthen the capacity of the health unit to respond to patients. “In this festive season, the support of the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric is with an oxygen balloon that will relieve the suffering of patients,” affirmed Director Lídia Cunha.
