The Confederation of African Football will send a team of inspectors to assess the condition of the ENZ pitch on site, according to a press release from the Mozambican Football Federation.
“This mission follows the detailed report submitted by the FMF to the CAF, which highlighted the evolution of the pitch and other technical aspects,” reads the FMF note.
After analysing the FMF report, “the highest authority in African football decided to carry out an inspection on the ground to check the current conditions of the stadium,” says the FMF note.
The FMF says that it is monitoring the process with anticipation, in the hope that the ENZ will be approved to host the match between Mozambique and Uganda in the fifth round of Group G of the World Cup qualifiers next March.
