Angola: State expects to earn €210M from sale of China International Fund assets

Portugal’s defence minister is visiting Cabo Verde this Friday and Saturday, where he will meet with his counterpart and the Cabo Verdean prime minister and sign a cooperation agreement on defence between the two countries until 2026.
According to a note sent to the press, João Gomes Cravinho begins a two-day visit to Cabo Verde on Friday (5 November) at the invitation of Cabo Verde’s minister of defence, Janine Lélis, “and as part of the National Defence Week, which is being celebrated in the country.
On the first day, Gomes Cravinho will meet with his counterpart “in a meeting that will serve to analyse bilateral relations and will include the signing of the new Defence Cooperation Framework Programme between the two countries for the period between 2021 and 2026.
On the same day, the minister is scheduled to visit the Maritime Security Operations Centre in Praia.
On Saturday (6), the minister will meet with Cabo Verde’s prime minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, and attend the military parade on National Defence Day in Praia.
According to the statement, before ending his visit, Gomes Cravinho is due to visit the Portuguese Navy ship, D. Carlos I, “which is engaged in a cooperation mission as part of the Open Sea Initiative.
The NRP D. Carlos I is a hydrographic ship whose mission is to “support the implementation of research and technological development activities related to marine sciences and techniques, with a view to their priority application in naval military operations, particularly in the areas of hydrography, hydrographic cartography, the safety of navigation, oceanography and defence of the marine environment,” the Portuguese Navy’s website said.
