Cabo Delgado: Reconstruction of destroyed tourist infrastructure costed at US$67M

The replacement of tourist infrastructure destroyed by terrorists in Cabo Delgado will cost about US$67 million.

An estimated 44 tourist establishments were vandalised, affecting more than 300 workers, provincial director of Culture and Tourism in Cabo Delgado, Yolanda Almeida, has said.

“We think that the resumption of all projects would be very good. We have put forward a proposal for recovery, not a definitive proposal but a preliminary one, based on the register of establishments in the districts,” she said.

A reconstrução das infra-estruturas turísticas destruídas pelos terroristas, em Cabo Delgado, está avaliada em 67 milhões de dólares.

São quarenta e quatro estabelecimentos turísticos vandalizados, afectando mais de 300 trabalhadores, segundo a directora provincial da Cultura e Turismo, em Cabo Delgado, Yolanda Almeida.

“ Achamos que será bastante bom o retorno de todos os empreendimentos. Avançamos com uma proposta de recuperação, não uma proposta definitiva mas preliminar, com base no cadastro e no registo dos estabelecimentos que temos nos distritos”, disse.
