Cabo Delgado: Messalo bridge closed to heavy vehicles

Heavy vehicles are being prevented from crossing the bridge over the Messalo river from Pemba to the districts of northern Cabo Delgado owing to its partial collapse since yesterday.
A National Roads Administration (ANE) statement broadcast yesterday by Radio Moçambique in Pemba indicates that only light vehicles are currently being allowed to use the bridge, while efforts are underway to solve the problem.
