The government of Palma, in Cabo Delgado, has heaped praise on TotalEnergies for supporting the reconstruction of the district and for its social responsibility initiatives after the terrorist attacks of 2021.
The district permanent secretary, Laurinda Luciano, said that, even during the suspension of its operations under ‘force majeure’, TotalEnergies never stopped providing support for the district.
“The return of the government to Palma was thanks to Total. They rehabilitated the house where the district secretariat is temporarily operating, and also rehabilitated the hospital and the PRM Command – all this to ensure that the government machinery could function,” she said.
