More than 28,000 people are without health care in the administrative post of Chitunda, Muidumbe district, Cabo Delgado, as a result of insurgents destroying two health units in the region.
With the two health centres providing medical care vandalised, the Health, Women and Social Action sector claims to be facing difficulties deploying professionals and medicines.
Ismael Manhiça, director of those services in Muidumbe, said his department was creating brigades to work in the affected communities two or three times a week, but the roll-out was interrupted by deteriorating security conditions.
