Cabo Delgado: Construction of Rapid Intervention Force barracks in Metuge gets underway – RM

Construction of a barracks for the 10th Detachment of the Rapid Intervention Force in Metuge district, Cabo Delgado, is underway.
Speaking at the laying of the first stone on Saturday, Bernardino Rafael, Commander-General of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, said that the facility would replace the current one, which is inappropriately located in the city of Pemba.
Bernardino Rafael appealed for the theft of construction material to be prevented, in order to guarantee the quality of the work.
The new barracks will be named after Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, in honour of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces.
