Cabo Delgado: ACLLIN Secretary General encourages liberation veterans to fight terrorists without respite

Speaking in Cabo Delgado, the Secretary General of the Association of Combatants of the National Liberation Struggle (ACLLIN) has encouraged the veterans of the national liberation struggle who are part o the local force [“militia”] to fight the terrorists without respite.

Fernando Faustino said, in the district headquarters town of Mueda on Monday afternoon, that he believed the fight against terrorism would be won, like the wars against Portuguese colonialism, against Ian Smith and in the 16-year conflict.

Emphasising that, today as yesterday, unity is the main weapon, Faustino asked the veterans of the national liberation struggle, once again with weapons in hand, to transmit to the youth of the Defence and Security their experience in the fight against what he referred to as bandits.

Before the parade, ACLLN general secretary led a meeting of veterans, during which he praised their work, especially on the combat front.

Faustino, who said he was sent by the President of the Republic, also delivered food products to reinforce the logistics of the local force.

The food and non food items were sourced in response to requests made to President Nyusi during his visit to Mueda a few days ago, General Commander of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, Bernardino Rafael, explained.

Em Cabo Delgado, o Secretário-Geral da ACLLIN encoraja os veteranos da luta de libertação nacional, que integram a força local, a combaterem sem contemplações os terroristas.

Falando na tarde desta segunda-feira, na vila-sede distrital de Mueda, Fernando Faustino, disse acreditar que, à semelhança das guerras contra o colonialismo português, contra o Ian Smith e do conflito dos dezasseis anos, esta travada contra o terrorismo será vencida.

Faustino que sublinhou que hoje como ontem, a união é arma principal, pediu os veteranos da luta de libertação nacional, uma vez mais com armas em punho, a transmitirem a sua experiência aos jovens das Forças de Defesa e Segurança, no combate aos que chamou de bandidos.

Antes da parada, o secretário-geral da Associação dos Combatentes da Luta de Libertação Nacional, dirigiu um encontro com os veteranos, durante o qual elogiou o trabalho dos veteranos, sobretudo na frente de combate.

Fernando Faustino que disse ser mandatário do Presidente da República, levava consigo produtos alimentares para reforçar a logística da força local.

Aliás, os produtos alimentares e não alimentares vêm em resposta ao pedido feito ao Chefe de Estado, Filipe Nyusi, aquando da sua visita à Mueda, há dias, conforme explicou o comandante-geral da Polícia da República de Moçambique, Bernardino Rafael.
