One hundred and ten industrial units in Cabo Delgado, closed as a result of the terrorist attacks, have reopened, thanks to the relative tranquillity imposed there recently by the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) and the Joint Force.
Factories, mills, bakeries and sawmills have resumed operation – a true sign of the restoration of the industrial network.
“We also note the reopening of 371 commercial establishments, another sign of the recovery of our economy and the restoration of our commercial and industrial network,” said Ossifo Magaia, Provincial Director of Industry and Commerce in Cabo Delgado, where the industrial basis currently comprises 933 units.
