Armed robbers struck the manager of an exchange office in the city of Chimoio, Manica at about 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday 30 August in front of his own home.
According to witnesses, the criminals, driving a Toyota Vitz, felled Marques Pereira with shots to his legs and took a bag containing an unspecified amount of money.
Pereira was hospitalised in Chimoio but transferred to Beira Central Hospital because of the gravity of his wounds.
