Screen grab: Miramar
A businessman from Maputo province, in southern Mozambique, has been found dead, his body exhibiting signs of violence, the deceased’s son, Hélder Milembo, told Lusa this Friday.
Milembo said that his father, Julião Facitela, 72, left home on Tuesday, and that his body was found in a salt marsh later the same day.
” Legal Medicine confirmed that my father was the victim of aggression,” he said.
Julião Facitela was reportedly thrown into the waters of an estuary in the Bay of Maputo known as Matola-Rio, in the municipality of Matola, about 15 kilometres from the Mozambican capital.
His body was retrieved by a fisherman.
Contacted by Lusa, the police said they did not as yet have enough evidence to comment on the case.
Juliao Facitela was once the owner of renowned photography studios in the Mozambican capital and of a popular nightclub in Maputo province, businesses that he no longer operated. At the time of his death, he was working in the graphics sector.
