The failure of one of the weighbridges at Pessene in Moamba district brought normal circulation of heavy goods vehicles on National Road Number 4 to a halt, at enormous cost to road users, TVM reported on Wednesday, August 23.
More than 100 trucks, mostly from neighbouring South Africa, were stuck waiting for hours, with frustrated drivers accusing TRAC staff of doing nothing to fix the problem.
A representative of the concessionaire however told TVM that repair work was in progress.
