Mozambique: Chapo says pacification agreement is being complied with

British Minister for Africa Harriet Baldwin is paying a three-day working visit to Mozambique starting today, the Mozambican Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
Harriet Baldwin has meetings scheduled with Foreign Affairs Minister José Pacheco and Minister for Youth and Sports, Nyeleti Mondlane.
Also on her agenda are meetings with the Secretary General of the Mozambican Liberation Front (Frelimo), Roque Silva; the president of the Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM), Daviz Simango, and a telephone conversation with the leader of the Mozambican National Resistance (Renamo), Ossufo Momade, who is currently residing in Gorongosa, central Mozambique.
“During her stay in the country, the British minister for Africa may announce the establishment of three honorary consul posts in the cities of Pemba, Beira and Tete, which will contribute to promoting economic, commercial, cultural and scientific links between Mozambique and the United Kingdom,” the statement adds.
