Mozambique: Human trafficking ring dismantled, six victims rescued in Maputo
Arirang News
South Korea has restricted travel by its citizens to Mozambique’s northeastern province of Cabo Delgado where there have been indiscriminate attacks on civilians by armed groups.
On Tuesday, Seoul’s foreign affairs ministry said that effective from the day, the travel alert to the region has been raised from “extreme caution” to “red.”
The ministry asked all those planning to travel to the area to cancel or postpone their trip.
There have been continuous indiscriminate attacks on civilians by armed groups in the province since late last year and a high chance the security situation will get worse.
As of now, there are no South Koreans living in the region.
