Breaking: President dismisses governors of Manica and Niassa – Mozambique

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi today dismissed the governors of the provinces of Manica, central Mozambique, Alberto Mondlane, and Niassa, Arlindo Chilundo, announced the office of the presidency of the Republic in a statement.
The press release does not present any reason for the dismissals nor does it provide any information on the replacement of the retired leaders.
Alberto Mondlane and Arlindo Chilundo were serving as governors of Manica and Niassa since 2015, when the government led by Filipe Nyusi took office.
