Breaking News : Child kidnapped at gunpoint in Beira, Mozambique

A child was abducted this afternoon in the the neighbourhood of Manga, in the city of Beira, Sofala province, by unknown individuals.
According to TV Miramar, the crime occurred when the girl was playing with her friends, and the kidnappers opened fire to ward off any kind of reaction from those who were nearby.
According to the same source, quoted by Folha de Maputo, the kidnapping took place in an area where there are several banks, but the agents of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), which were placed to watch over the security of banking institutions did nothing to prevent the crime.
This crime comes at a time when kidnappers had given a truce to Mozambican citizens and agents of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, adds Folha de Maputo.
