Breaking: Kidnappers abduct 9-year old child in Beira, Mozambique

A 9-year old child was kidnapped in Beira this morning, at around 6h45am, right outside his house in Rua àlvaro Ferrão, in the neighbourhood of Ponta Gea. The child’s father is a Beira businessman by the name Harish, owner of Motichande Dulobo.
According to CRV magazine, the kidnappers took the child as he was being taken into the car that would drive him to school, along with two other children. To achieve their goals, the kidnappers shot the driver of the car.
Police at the level of Beira city has reportedly already taken notice of the crime.
The driver was taken to Beira’s Central Hospital at around 7h20am, is alive and stable although having received two bullets on his thigh.
