Breaking: It’s ‘official’: Renamo and Araújo take to the streets in celebration

The current mayor of Quelimane, Manuel de Araújo, was presented this morning as a new reinforcement in Renamo’s troops for the next elections, with Renamo’s provincial political delegation announcing him as head of the party’s list.
After the presentation to Renamo members, where he promised to carry forward the ideas of Afonso Dhlakama, de Araújo was borne aloft through the streets of Quelimane, the partridge emblem on his chest.
On the MDM side, uncertainties remain in several municipalities, many of those previously aligning with the Rooster now apparently preferring the Partridge.
