Breaking: Filipe Nyusi to visit Palma and Mocímboa da Praia

President Nyusi is to make a one-day visit to the province of Cabo Delgado tomorrow.
The president will visit the districts of Palma and Mocímboa da Praia, two regions targeted by radical groups that have been terrorizing the province since last October.
The head of state’s agenda includes popular rallies in both districts, where he will deliver messages of comfort to families that have lost loved ones to the insurgent groups and reassure the population that the Defense Forces and Security (FDS) are on the ground to ensure stability and combat the insurgents.
Besides the meeting with the population, President Nyusi will lead a special session of the district government of Palma.
Nyusi returns to Cabo Delgado after a visit last April was cut short by heavy rain. He will return to talk about the problem of the insurgency in the region that has already left more than 50 dead.
