Breaking: Column with Manica govt staff & journalists attacked in Báruè, on the way to receive Nyusi

There are people injured and the Television of mozambique and Rádio Moçambique cars were damaged, reports Canalmoz.

Following the attack on Morrumbala this morning, a delegation from the provincial government of Manica who would receive Filipe Nyusi in Macossa district, was attacked in the late morning today by supposed Renamo armed. The attack took place in the Chiuala region, in Báruè district. There is record of injured people and property damage. The delegation consisted of government bureaucrats and journalists in the province for Mozambique Television (TVM) and Radio Mozambique (RM).

The RM journalist told Canalmoz that the delegation was travelling in the first military column that left this morning from Vanduze (Manica) to Changara (Tete). The delegation joined the column to reach Macossa. When they were half way there, in the Chiuala region, the column was attacked. The TVM and RM vehicles had their windows broken.
