Unidentified individuals on the run shot and killed a businessman in Maputo on Tuesday night, presumably because he resisted an attempted abduction.
Amity Samigy, 40 years old, was hit by three bullets . The death was confirmed by the Maputo Central Hospital.
The crime took place at the intersection of Alberto Lithuli and Josina Machel avenues. The entrepreneur had just closed his business establishment, after another day of work.
At the scene of the crime, witnesses told O País that the actions of the criminals were “very quick”.
The Police of the Republic of Mozambique in the city of Maputo said they had clues to clarify the crime and are in pursuit of the criminals.
