Brazilian arrested in Maputo for alleged drug trafficking – Watch

A 24-year-old Brazilian citizen was detained at Maputo International Airport on Wednesday, allegedly in possession of 5.4 kilograms of cocaine.
According to the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), the drug in question was disguised using chocolate packaging.
The detainee arrived in Maputo from Brazil via Addis Ababa. She maintains there had been a mix-up, and that the luggage item in question was not hers.
“The drug is not mine, I came to Maputo on holiday,” she said.
In the space of one month, the PRM has arrested two foreign citizens suspected of drug trafficking.
