Mozambique: Lizzie Ana Uamusse opens solo exhibition at Kulungwana

The Guimarães Rosa Institute in Maputo last Tuesday (08-04) opened its first “Elas Aqui e Agora” exhibition of Mozambican artists from the IGR collection.
“Elas Aqui e Agora” (“Women Here and Now”) features works by Mozambican artists Albertina, Camila de Sousa, Chica Sales, Emília Duarte, Lourdes Silva, Reinata Sadimba, Rita Macarala, São Paixão, Suzy Bila, Teresa Roza D´Oliveira and Tesha.
The exhibition comprises selected paintings, ceramics, drawings, and photographs from the art collection of the Guimarães Rosa Institute, Maputo.
This is an opportunity to survey the work of these Mozambican artists and build an informed overview of art “made in Mozambique”.
Open to the public from April 8 to June 14 at the Portinari gallery, IGR – Maputo, Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
