Beluluane Industrial Park in Boane District yesterday expressed interest in supporting the social assistance programmes driven by Naidy Parruque, the wife of the Governor of Maputo province, after a meeting with the Park’s director-general, Honório Boane, and other management figures.
The Park’s assistance will consist of channelling basic food baskets to socially vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, and continuing its programme of paid internships for young people in Maputo province.
Naidy Parruque welcomed the Park’s initiative, saying that the support would help alleviate the hardship suffered by families during this time of Covid-19.
Naidy Parruque encouraged Beluluane Industrial Park to maintain its philosophy of helping the underprivileged and those in need, noting that the province could only through solidarity successfully address the challenges posed by continuing food insecurity and the novel coronavirus.
