The road link between Belavista and Boane district in Maputo province has been cut by flood waters from the Changalane river.
According to Radio Moçambique, the situation is also affecting travel in Changalane in Namaacha and Catuane in Matutuíne.
According to Matutuíne administrator Artur Muandule, quoted by Radio Moçambique, the Estada Circular contractor is on site and looking into the possibility of restoring normal circulation.
“Circulation on the Belavista-Boane section is temporarily interrupted by the flooding of one of the small bridges under construction in the area of Porto Henrique,” Muandule said.
