The Skating Federation of Mozambique wants revive the sport of skate hockey in Beira and open a training school there.
Negotiations are currently under way with the Ferroviário da Beira to use their club pavilion for the project, which will initially cover one hundred children. João Carlos is assessing technical conditions for their suitability.
The rehabilitation and modernisation of the Ferroviário da Beira pavilion has renewed conditions for the introduction of skating and skate hockey, a sport that stopped being played there in the mid-eighties.
Currently, skate hockey is practiced in the city and province of Maputo, in Quelimane in Zambézia province, and in Nampula.
