The Islamic Community of Mozambique (CIMO) urged the government on Sunday to prioritise the prevention of attacks in the north of the country and to focus on the education of people residing in the interior of the country in order to avoid outbreaks of violence.
CIMO president Maulana Rachid told the press after the march organised by his community that the government should focus its attention urgently on security issues in the northern part of the country, where several bloody and deadly attacks have been registered, with a greater focus in the prevention of attacks.
The CIMO march proceeded along several main roads in Beira before terminating at the Pedagogical University pavilion, where messages for peace were read.
