The Bootcamp Activ’Arte began on Monday (29) at the BCI Media Library – Island of Mozambique. This intensive training programme will continue until 1 October, bringing together more than 50 young artists and creative entrepreneurs, aged between 18 and 35.
The initiative is part of the Cultiv’Arte project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France, in co-implementation with Ideialab and the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre (CCFM), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Over three days, participants will benefit from practical tools to develop business models, define pricing strategies, and strengthen sales skills through training sessions, group dynamics, practical exercises, and networking opportunities. The training is led by Ideialab trainers.
Representing BCI, Ivan Pereira congratulated the organisers and highlighted the Bank’s firm commitment to sustainable development through concrete actions. He emphasised that BCI remains close and accessible, with special attention to young entrepreneurs and creatives, supporting innovation, inclusion, and the creation of opportunities in the job market.
He also added that women are a priority for the Bank, benefiting from dedicated financing lines and specific programmes that place them at the centre of economic and social development.
“We believe that sustainable entrepreneurship, combined with continuous training, is essential to transform talent into solid businesses and to build a more inclusive and sustainable future for Mozambique,” he concluded.
The Activ’Arte Bootcamp is part of a broader effort to strengthen the Cultural and Creative Industries in Mozambique, contributing to the country’s social and economic development, with a special focus on young people and women.
“The Activ’Arte Bootcamp represents a unique opportunity for young people to transform creative ideas into sustainable businesses, reinforcing the role of the creative economy as a driver of inclusive development,” the organisers stated.
Holding the event at the BCI Media Library reinforces the institution’s role as a space for training, innovation, and cultural development, expanding its visibility and relevance as a centre of knowledge and community support on the Island of Mozambique.
