Mozambique: Secretary of State for Industry holds meeting with CEO of IRC Minerals and Metals

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, appointed through Presidential Dispatch, Augusto de Sousa Fernando to the post of Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy.
At the time of his appointment, Augusto Fernando held the position of Director of the Technical Unit for Project Implementation at the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy.
The newly appointed is also Chairman the Mozambican Order of Engineers.
Augusto Sousa Fernando holds a degree in electrotechnical engineering from Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in 1992. He has held various positions within Electricity of Mozambique (EDM), such as Head of Department of Systems and Protection Planning, Coordinator of the Mozambique-Malawi Interconnection Project , Director of EDM Transport Network, Chairman of the SAPP Management Committee until he joined the company administration as Production, Transportation and Market Operator.
