A spokesman for the National Migration Service said on Thursday that legal formalities of the case of 43 Nigerians arrested last year in China with Mozambican passports have been filed by the Attorney General’s Office.
The 43 Nigerians were accused of having biometric passports of the Republic of Mozambique under former spokesperson of the National Migration Service, Cira Fernandes. However, the current spokesperson, Celestino Matsinhe, has revealed that an administrative process is underway.
SENAMI revealed Thursday that they detained an Ethiopian citizen for possessing a false DIRE when she tried to enter the country through the Crossing Station of Mavalane in Maputo City.
At the time, the immigrant said she obtained the DIRE in Ethiopia and was entering the Republic of Mozambique for the first time.
