Rain in the north of the country has blocked the Alto Molócuè to Mocuba road near the Mutuasse river to traffic in both directions.
“The terrain is not good and the slippery state of the road has closed it to trucks,” a user in contact with Stv reported.
A horse truck was stuck when it trying to pass close to the bridge, he added, complicating the scenario still further.
The impassable stretch is located about 30 kilometres from the district of Alto-Mólocué, with more than 300 vehicles stuck waiting for the situation to improve.
“We had opened a small lane for four-wheel drive cars to pass, but unfortunately a Nagi Investments bus failed to make it and blocked that alternative route,” the source added.
