The Israeli ambassador to Angola, Raphael Singer, who is on a working visit to Namibe province, said here today that his country has a great interest in investing in the agricultural and water sectors, contributing to the diversification of economy and combating desertification, especially in this province.
The diplomat, who was speaking at the end of his visit to this province, said that these are the most important areas for potential interest for cooperation and development.
The project against desertification which includes the Israeli technology is quite ambitious, because we can share our experiences as we have a similar desert to Namibe quite arid and fertile land to practice agriculture and we are using various technologies in its irrigation system that should serve as a model or experience to this city, “he said.
The diplomat also proved to be satisfied by the development of the agriculture sector because the population is practicing this activity with great intensity despite the lack of some land, but still show interest to work the land and produce.
