TAAG, Angola’s flag carrier, will increase flights to Namibia, the Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Príncipe and Mozambique from 11 December, due to the significant growth in demand from these markets, the company announced on Tuesday.
According to TAAG, Windhoek (Namibia) will have daily flights and Ponta Negra (Republic of Congo) will have a second weekly flight introduced, with flights on Mondays and Fridays.
A second flight will also be introduced for Sao Tome, with flights on Mondays and Fridays, and a fifth flight will be created for Maputo (Mozambique), with flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
“These regional destinations have seen significant growth in market demand, as they are popuçar with the y the corporate segment, leisure destinations and traffic from Portuguese-speaking countries, the latter in the specific case of the PALOP [Portuguese language countries],” TAAG said in the statement.
Domestically, the national airline points out that flights to the city of Lubango, in the province of Huíla, will be increased from 11 December, with two flights on Thursdays, totalling nine weekly flights.
