The selection of the company that will carry out the drilling and be in charge of the entire logistical process concerning the first well to prospect and research hydrocarbons in the Angoche Basin, in Nampula province, has been finalized.
Data provided by the Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), the business arm of the Mozambican state in the area of hydrocarbons, point to drilling starting by the end of this month of December.
Meanwhile, “Notícias” learned from other sources that these activities should only start in the first quarter of next year, due to delays in the mobilization of equipment.
In its report and accounts made public a few days ago, ENH states that, with the drilling of the first natural gas exploration well in the Angoche Basin, the company hopes to have better knowledge of the potential resources existing in this region of the country.
