Mozambique: Sweden donates $11 million for children, youths in Palma

The multinational Anadarko has donated 100,000 units of water purifier (Certeza) to Cabo Delgado Provincial Health Directorate, as part of attempts to reduce the incidence of waterborne disease in the province.
The donation, worth approximately 2 million meticais, was delivered on Tuesday, with health authorities saying it will be distributed to all of the province’s 17 districts.
Provincial chief doctor Magid Sabuna thanked the multinational for its gesture, saying it would help control diarrhoea and prevent the outbreak of cholera.
According to health statistics, the province of Cabo Delgado registered more than 5,000 cases of diarrhoea in the first four months of this year.
