Preparations are underway in Ricatlha, Marracuene district, Maputo province, for the start of the 55th edition of FACIM, taking place from 26 August to 1 September.
The full programme, in Portuguese, is HERE:
The event, which brings together national and international exhibitors, promotes business and business partnerships in various fields.
The agro-livestock sector will receive special attention, according to Joana Betencourt, responsible for the organisation of the Agro-livestock Fair, part of FACIM 2019.
“This year we will for the first time have an interbreed cattle contest, on 31 August, and also a cattle auction. Unlike previous years, this year the animal show will be bigger, with more breeds and covering goats too. The objective is not only to promote agriculture in Mozambique, but also to raise the level of demand for Mozambican cattle so that we can compete internationally,” Betencourt told Radio Mozambique.
This year, FACIM takes place under the motto “Mozambique and the World: Widening the Market, Promoting Investment and Empowering Partnerships”.
