Travellers are being advised to arrive early if departing from OR Tambo International Airport in Joburg as a metered taxi strike, said to be in protest against Uber, is blocking parts of the R24.
Travellers are being advised to avoid Gillooly’s Interchange, usually a busy route during peak-hour traffic but especially congested on Friday morning, 10 March due to the protest.
Alternative routes suggested are the N12 to the R21.
