A group of unknown assailants has decapitated a citizen with albinism in Chinde district, Zambezia province, in the centre of Mozambique.
The reasons and exact location of the crime are unknown, but many persons with skin pigmentation problems have been kidnapped and killed and had their organs removed in connection with superstitious practices recently.
The province of Nampula is the commonest location of albino persecution, often curtailing their freedom of movement and even forcing some to give up studying for fear of being kidnapped and murdered.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) has promised to be relentless in combating this ghastly types of crime.
