The agenda for the official Mozambique Gas Summit has been announced, including a full day for National Content debates and two days of Strategic Panel Debates in partnership with the country’s national hydrocarbons company ENH and with support of the regulator INP. The Summit, to be held in Maputo on 30 November – 2 December 2016, will see the country’s senior Government representatives meet with international stakeholders and prospective investors to discuss the strategies and opportunities to develop the vast gas reserves that have been discovered in Mozambique’s Rovuma Basin. The meeting has the support of ENH, INP, CMH, FUNAE, and is sponsored by ExxonMobil, Technip, GE Oil & Gas, Sasol, and Standard Bank.
The agenda will begin on the 30th November with the National Content day; four sessions dedicated to updates on the possible legislation terms, understanding the role of SMEs and debating on best practices for the successful implementation of the policies.

Continuing the Summit on the 1st and 2nd of December, Mozambique’s leaders invite internationals for Strategic Panel Debates on the important topics that govern the country’s gas developments: the current updates on projects, the role of technology in maximizing these, managing the social and environmental impact these can generate, diversifying the economy through the use of domestic gas, financing these projects and collaborating regionally to develop the necessary infrastructure to bring the projects to life.
