AFECC Mall opens in Maputo, cements relations between Mozambique and China

Excellent trade relations between Mozambique and China have resulted in the inauguration of the AFECC Mall, a Chinese investment housing a Nu Metro Cinema, the AFECC Game Centre, Ivato Supermarket, Marina Casino and the Voodoo Lounge and Night Club.

The building in Maputo was officially inaugurated in a ceremony which witnessed the presence of personalities from many different sectors, from Mozambique and abroad.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Silva Dunduro said that “China has been contributing to successive five-year government programs since our independence”, recalling that China had followed Mozambique’s development closely and was today one of the government’s most significant partners.

China’s ambassador to Mozambique, Su Jian, also spoke, saying that the shopping and entertainment complex was yet another example of AFECC’s cooperation in culture, commerce and tourism, aimed at the well-being of Mozambicans.

The inauguration’s cultural dimension was entrusted to Mr. Bow and Liloca.

“Singing at the opening of this great mall is a huge honour because, in addition to my performance, I felt myself representing all artists in an event that brought music and entertainment together with business culture,” Bow confessed after his appearance.
