Mozambique unnerved as they take Game One of the Women's AfroBasket Qualifiers

Mozambique’s national football team, the Mambas, defeated their counterparts from Eswatini by three goals to nil this Monday (14-10).
Dominguez and Ratio scored the goals in the first half of the match, in the 11th and 40th minute respectively,-Geny Catamo scored the third goal in the 58th minute.
The game, played on Monday night at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, was part of the fourth round of the Group 1 qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The result puts Mozambique at the top of Group 1 with 8 points, one more than Mali, who will face Guinea-Bissau this Tuesday.
President congratulates the national football team
The President of the Republic sent congratulations to the Mambas, for its victory over Eswatini.
President Nyusi’s thanks went to the Mambas, to coach Chiquinho Conde and his technical team.
In his message, Filipe Nyusi recalled how, last Saturday, he had congratulated the national football team on having known how to honour the national anthem, confirming that, “stone by stone, we build a new day of hope”.
