Access Bank Mozambique (ABM) has signed a cooperation protocol with the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX-IP).
The ceremony took place in the Access Bank headquarters building in Maputo, and was attended by ABM Chief Executive Officer Marco Abalroado and Lourenço Sambo, General Manager of APIEX-IP.
The purpose of the protocol is to develop actions for the promotion and dissemination of business opportunities in the country and the implementation of investment projects.
The protocol will allow Access Bank to work strategically with APIEX-IP, facilitating contacts with potential investors and exporters in Mozambique, as well as affording the Access brand greater visibility in the domestic and foreign markets.
The cooperation protocol also foresees the possibility of Access Bank having physical space in APIEX-IP facilities to provide services.
“This is the first partnership that the bank has formalised in the country,” ABM CEO Marco Abalroado said, and marks “the beginning of the contribution of the bank, and of the Access Bank Group, as an agent of sustainable development in Mozambique, jointly promoting with APIEX-IP the maximisation of the country’s economic potential in the various markets”.
Focused on providing excellent service to customers in various segments, Access Bank invests in strategic partnerships that strengthen the bank’s role in Mozambique and in the world.
