Beluluane Industrial Park is pleased to announce that 65 young Mozambican technical professionals, including electricians, welders, pipe fitters, boiler makers and other industrial maintenance specialists have been chosen through a highly competitive, merit-based selection process to participate in its Beluluane JOBA Internship Programme. They have been trained in health and safety and soft skills, and are ready to begin practical internships hosted by private sector companies from all over Maputo Province. The practical experience they will acquire through their internship will make it easier for them to find employment after the end of their internships, bridging the gap from learning to earning.
Ashleigh Tsuro, Project Manager comments: “Hosting a Beluluane JOBA intern is a convenient way of identifying future talent while supporting local communities and skills development in Mozambique. That is why the programme is well-supported by companies in our park.”
29 companies in Maputo Province are already hosting interns. The programme however is not limited to companies from the Beluluane Industrial Park, as private sector companies are invited to participate.
“Beluluane JOBA selects the interns, deals with all administrative processes for registering them, pays them, and accompanies the interns and their hosting companies throughout the 6 months,” Tsuro said.
