Mozambique: Maputo hosts Music Therapy Conference

A week-long leadership training course for about 60 young Mozambicans in the areas of promoting development at community level starts at the Portuguese Cultural Centre today.
According to a statement released by Camões Cultural Centre in Maputo, this “Academy of Ubuntu Leaders” is an initiative of the Father Antonio Vieira Institute (IPAV), with the support of the Portuguese embassy in Mozambique.
During the seven days, candidates will be trained in matters relating to development and good coexistence within their communities, as well as leadership and conflict mediation.
The five essential pillars of the “Ubuntu Bridges Program”: self-knowledge, self-confidence, resilience, empathy and service, will also be explored during the training,.
The course will also involve various personalities and local and national organisations.
