Sixty Cuban doctors will arrive this weekend to support the fight against Covid-19 in Mozambique, Cuban ambassador Pável Diaz Hernandez said in an exclusive interview with Radio Mozambique yesterday.
Pável Diaz Hernandez said the Cuban doctors had arrived in response to the request made by the Mozambican government, and would join others already working in the country in various specialties, including in the fight against the coronavirus.
The ambassador also said that Mozambique would soon take possession of 20,000 doses of Interferon, a drug manufactured in Cuba, which strengthens the body’s immune system.
