The government of Nampula province plans to build 500 homes for young people in the near future.
According to the president of the Provincial Youth Council in Nampula, Paulo Francisco, the houses will be built in the cities of Nampula, Angoche, Nacala-Porto and Ilha de Moçammbique.
To get a house, candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old, and be a member of a Youth Provincial or District Council.
Francisco says the project would greatly reduce the housing shortage facing young people in Nampula province.
The speaker congratulated the government on the initiative and asked for the implementation to be prioritised. “We hope that the government brings this project to fruition,” he said.
